The Taste of Progress!

First, an update on Jen Stark - she's nearing 45,000 views and is far and away our most watched video. Interestingly, she did this entirely through embeds. 96% of her views come from off site. This runs contrary to YouTube as a whole but isn't really surprising. Common sense says that the people interested in cat videos and comedy go to YouTube but the people interested in niche videos about art and design go to art and design websites. Small wonder that Jen is out performing the rest of our videos - few of them have found a niche outside of YouTube, with the exception of Live in Color Dancers Live Their Dreams (our second most watched video with 10,000+ views). The answer to this problem of course, is seeding the videos to the sites that are most likely to serve our audiences. That's what we call phase two.

In other news, I've been reading Guy Kawasaki's excellent book "the art of the start" and I've learned a thing or two. Here, for the first time in print, is One Eight Five's new mantra: tell Miami stories.
